I want to write and tell you how much we appreciate the Price County newspaper’s coverage of the Park Falls Public Library, recently its new children’s librarian and the special evening of music on January 11th.

Peg Zaemisch gave us an excellent interview/profile of Alyssa Cleland, our new children’s librarian, of whom we are justifiably proud. And the concert by [Harmonious Wail], a brilliant three member jazz group on Friday evening, the 11th, played to an appreciative, capacity audience. I was especially pleased that so many young people were in attendance, and hope they will continue to take part in our library services.

Park Falls and the entire region are fortunate to have such an extraordinary library facility in our community. Natives are aware that the building is the old City Hall, and that we are happy indeed that it was saved from the wrecker's ball and brilliantly remodeled into the current facility. Our Library Director, Gary Olson, has been here for nearly thirty years, and we are indeed fortunate in his leadership.

If you are not familiar with the Park Falls Library, we invite you to visit us soon, and take advantage of our many services. And, perhaps you'd like to join our Friends organization? It’s well worth your time...

John Smart

President, Friends of the

Park Falls Public Library
